Moriah Priestly

Dr Moriah Priestley holds a postgraduate degree in macroeconomics. She also holds an honorary PhD from university of Valencia in Humanities as a result of her work with female entrepreneurs and supporting extensive community development across parts of west Africa and seats Asia through international development.

 

Moriah is currently the first African female elected politician in the city of Milton Keynes.

Dr Priestley is also the first person from the black and ethnic minority community to be personally appointed cabinet holder in the city of Milton Keynes. Her portfolio was Economic Development and community partnerships. Under her tenure Milton Keynes was ranked the 3rd most prosperous city in the United Kingdom.

 

She runs a successful boutique management consultancy working closely with govt bodies in UK and Europe around social care and health policy and implementation.

 

Moriah also runs a leadership and personal development coaching practice called “Insight coaching” and has recently partnered with the prime minister’s cabinet office to deliver workshops around the country that empowers people from black and ethnic minority communities to enable them to aspire to sit on decision making boards across government and public sectors.
